Scientific name: Lebia cyanipennis Dejean

What it looks like: This species averages 5mm in length. The head and legs are usually black, while the pronotum may be red/orange or black. The wing covers are shiny metallic, dark metallic, or dull blue metallic and the ridge at their base is complete.

Where you'll find it: This species has been found throughout much of western North America.

Natural History: Nothing is known of this species' natural history.
