Join Linda Miller, Curator of the Maximus Gallery, for a special screening of this film about Mark Catesby’s 18th century exploration of the New World. Though little known, Mark Catesby may be the most important artist-naturalist to have explored the New World. His work was published more than a century before Audubon began documenting American wildlife. So why doesn’t he have equal fame?
A tour of the current Maximus Gallery exhibit, Mark Catesby: Picturing the New World, will follow the film.
