The Museum is situated on 11 acres shaded by Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia) woodland along Mission Creek. Creekside paths, a nature trail, picnic tables, and an outdoor amphitheater make this one of the most beautiful museum settings anywhere.
Signs guide visitors along the Caroline Hazard Mission Creek Nature Trail. Visitors can explore the riparian habitat, find out about bird feeding guilds, discover the value of poison oak, learn why decomposers are important, and observe endangered Steelhead Trout. |
