Our
new interactive marine center on Stearns Wharf has tidepool creatures,
real oceanographic equipment, a partially dissected dolphin, and
state-of-the-art equipment, but it's missing one important thing---YOU!

As
a Ty Warner Sea Center volunteer, you will serve as an exhibit interpreter,
helping visitors discover the wonders of the Santa Barbara Channel.
If you love the ocean and marine life and like working with people,
we invite you to join our Sea Crew. No experience is necessary----we'll
provide a hands-on training and an online marine science curriculum
to get you started. Then, every month, we'll invite you to attend
an advanced training or field trip with a local expert to keep building
your knowledge base.

The
minimum commitment is one three-hour shift each week, which can
take place any time during our operating hours of 10 am to 5 pm,seven
days a week. In addition to training and recognition events, Sea
Crew volunteers receive free admission to both campuses of Santa
Barbara Museum of Natural History, store discounts, and passes for
friends and family.

Our new volunteer trainings take place monthly. To reserve a spot
in our next opening training or to learn more about our program,
please contact our volunteer coordinator
Leeza Charleboix at 805-962-2526 ext.
104, or via email: seacrew@sbnature2.org.
See
you at the Sea Center!
