  Blue Whale Skeleton Returns - Day 2

The team continued to work on positioning and securing the posts which will hold the skull. By around 10 AM, the cranium and rostrum were assembled. They continued to work into the night to finalize the foundation of the posts so that yellow steel gantries currently holding the skull could be removed on Friday to begin the work on the vertebral column. FYI: The rostrum and cranium weigh more than 4,500 pounds.
