Lunch and Learn: Dive into Local Underwater Parks with Channelkeeper

At Zoom

January 16, 2021 / 12:30 PM–1:30 PM

Remember the old saying, “Don't go swimming right after you eat”? Well, that doesn't matter when virtually jumping into marine protected areas (MPAs)! Order takeout or delivery from our favorite ocean-friendly restaurant, Rincon Brewery, and then join us for a virtual tour of local MPAs. Santa Barbara Channelkeeper will take us below the surface to get an underwater look at three local marine parks. Discover the beauty and importance of these areas and learn how we can protect them for generations to come.

Rincon Brewery (with locations in Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Ventura *update 1/16/21: SB location is not currently selling food, but Carpinteria and Ventura are*) is recognized by the Surfrider Foundation as a Platinum Level Ocean Friendly Restaurant. This means they’ve adopted all of the criteria used by the Ocean Friendly Restaurant program to reduce waste and serve sustainable seafood.
