Free Astronomy Talk: Stellafane Telescope Makers Club

Learn about the historic Stellafane telescope-makers club, during a free talk presented by the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit. Formed in the early 1920s by Arctic explorer, architect, and astronomy enthusiast Russell Porter, the club has been meeting regularly for 100 years in Springfield, Vermont.

Speaking about the history of this organization, its wonderful members, and the telescopes they produced, Mario Motta, Ph.D., will remotely address our in-person audience via Zoom from the East Coast.
