Free Admission at the Museum: SoCal Museums Free-For-All
At the Museum
Enjoy the Museum's indoor and outdoor exhibits for free during the annual SoCal Museums Free-For-All on Sunday, February 22 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM! Connect with nature and science here as we celebrate the region's vibrant cultural landscape. Until 3:00 PM, meet our partners from Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit, Southern Steelhead Coalition, Santa Barbara Zoo, Santa Barbara Audubon Society's Eyes in the Sky avian ambassadors, and Climb Out.
Reservations are recommended—click here to make one. All guests should expect a busy day at the Museum with limited parking and a line to enter. Please note that our sister campus, the Sea Center on Stearns Wharf, is not part of the Free-for-All, and conditions there (as well as admissions fees) are expected to be normal.
Plan to make the most of your visit to the Museum with our guest FAQs and accessibility page.
Add to the fun with a show in Gladwin Planetarium! Palmer Observatory will also be open, until 4:00 PM.
