Botanical Printing Workshop with Latifat Apatira

At the Museum | Courtyard Gallery

March 28, 2026 / 10:00 AM–1:00 PM

Art lovers ages 15 and up are invited to join us for an intimate workshop with artist Latifat Apatira, whose elegant work is featured in The Living Print (now on view at the Museum). Create realistic botanical art with nature printing and watercolor, and take home your own nature print on paper!

Apatira describes nature printing simply: a natural object is used to create its own image, a stamped portrait of itself. Once a functional medium used by physicians and botanists to document plants, it’s now a means of creative expression. Come learn the techniques Apatira uses to create beautiful plant portraits and experiment with the plants that inspire you. Plants will be available for your use, but you’re more than welcome to bring cuttings from a plant at home that you’re interested in using.

Choose from two workshop times:
Friday, March 27, 2026 / 4:30–7:30 PM
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
Saturday, March 28, 2026 / 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Light snacks, coffee, and orange juice will be served.

Registration required. Click here to sign up while space lasts.
Tickets: $120 general admission, $100 Members
