A large percentage of Americans believe UFOs are alien spacecraft, and that aliens from other planets have visited earth repeatedly. We see this promoted in the media, but what’s the evidence for it? How does a scientist evaluate claims like this? What’s going on in Area 51? What happened in Roswell? Prof. Donald R. Prothero of the Department of Geological Sciences at Cal Poly Pomona will talk about these topics, and discuss the probability that there is intelligent life that can visit earth.
